News : Announcing a new collection on archaea in Microbiology

01 August 2016
Microbiology is inviting submissions of research papers and reviews that explore topics surrounding archaea – from the molecular to the systems level – for a new thematic collection.

Articles are invited on the following topics; molecular biology of archaea, physiology and metabolism, genome function, bioinformatics and systems biology, evolutionary microbiology and the tree of life, ecology and diversity of archaea and environmental microbiology. The Archaea Collection is curated by Dr Sonja-Verena Albers, University of Freiburg, Germany.

Accepted articles will be published in the journal as normal and, if selected, will be included in the Archaea Collection. Authors should submit their manuscript to the online submission system for Microbiology. Please indicate clearly in your cover letter that it is intended for the Archaea Collection. If you are interested in writing a review for the collection please contact the journal's Reviews Editor, Professor Jodi Lindsay. For more information about the collection in general please email our Editorial Office.
