Decline in the Cellular Content of RNA, Protein and Dry Weight during the Logarithmic Growth of Euglena gracilis Buetow, D. E. and Levedahl, B. During exponential growth, the RNA content was reduced by 37 %, the total protein by 45 % and the dry weight by about 76 %. In addition, the RNA and protein content of Euglena showed a similar pattern of decline as growth progressed; the DNA content, however, remained constant throughout the logarithmic growth phase., language=, type=
