Abstract

A simple procedure for studying sterol biosynthesis in cell-free homogenates of is described. The activities of some imidazole-containing antifungals (tioconazole, clotrimazole, econazole, ketoconazole and miconazole) as inhibitors of sterol C-14 demethylation have been determined using this technique.
