Abstract

SUMMARY: Bacteriophages which mediate the conversion of the O somatic antigen of from the 67 to the 67 phenotype have been isolated from two strains of and one of , and also from sewage collected from two areas where there have been no reports of infection for several years. The phages differed from each other by cross-resistance tests.
