Abstract

SUMMARY:

Various transamination reactions were observed in germinating uredospores of Schw. The localization and kinetic properties of glutamate-aspartate transaminase were examined. The presence of these transaminase enzymes in the uredospores suggests that the uredospore could synthesize a large number of amino acids.
