Abstract

SUMMARY

The effect of eight sterols on oospore production by has been studied quantitatively. Their activity was found to be in the following order: β-sitosterol ═▵-avenasterol═fucosterol═stigmasterol>cholesterol═7-dehydrocholesterol>ergosterol>cholestanol.
